standard Noam Chomsky on surviving the 21st century

A great talk given by Professor Noam Chomsky at Durham University on a range of topics having to do with ‘survival in the 21st century’. One of the most well-known public intellectual speakers in the world today, Chomsky has made significant contributions to linguistics, philosophy, politics and various other fields. He is also an outspoken critic of US foreign policy and of imperialism worldwide.

At Durham’s University College Chomsky spoke thoroughly about a range of important topics affecting global society today, from the current fossil fuel boom in the US and its implications for the future, to intellectual property, the ‘war on terror’, climate change, nuclear war and mass surveillance.

Question and answer session between Chomsky and Professor David Held, General Editor of the Global Policy journal.
